The engagement

What the work involves.

We define the services, locations and contract types your business wants to pursue, then review the agreed sources against that brief. The shortlist records the source, closing details and visible fit considerations so your team can decide what deserves further assessment.

What you receive.

01

Target-work brief

An agreed outline of your services, geography, capacity and preferred opportunity types.

02

Relevant research

A search of agreed sources for notices that appear to match the brief.

03

Opportunity shortlist

A practical summary of the buyer, work, closing details and visible eligibility considerations.

04

Fit and next-step notes

Observations to help your team choose what to investigate, clarify or assess in more detail.

How it works.

  1. Define the brief

Agree the services, operating area, opportunity size and sources relevant to your business.

  2. Research the market

Review notices available through the agreed sources and filter them against the brief.

  3. Present the shortlist

Provide source links, deadline notes and the main fit considerations for your team’s review.

What we need from you.

  • A current outline of your services and relevant contract experience
  • Your operating locations and geographical limits
  • Capacity, contract preferences and any mandatory exclusions
  • Your preferred research period and the decision-maker receiving the shortlist

We agree how to share sensitive documents before you send them.

Scope and responsibilities.

Research is limited to the agreed sources, scope and search date or period. It is not a guarantee that every available tender will be found, that a notice will remain unchanged or that your business is eligible. Ongoing monitoring is a separate agreed scope, not an automatic subscription.

Common questions.

Does this include automatic tender alerts?

No automatic subscription is assumed. We agree whether the engagement is a one-off search or a defined recurring research scope, including timing and sources.

Is a shortlist the same as a bid assessment?

No. A shortlist helps you identify opportunities to investigate. A bid / no-bid assessment examines a selected opportunity and your business fit in more detail.

How current are the opportunity details?

Each research handover should identify its search date. Buyers can update notices and deadlines, so your team should check the original source before making a decision or submission.
